Deidre has always firmly believed in the mind-body connection. Her passion for massage therapy began from her beliefs in the importance of a healthy and balanced lifestyle. Growing up playing sports, especially basketball and running, gave her the focus and determination to complete her first two marathons in 2011. In 2010 she received her B.S. in Kinesiology (Fitness-Wellness Specialization) and her B.A. in Psychology from Temple University. After graduating, she attended Cortiva Institute in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania and received her license and certification in Massage Therapy. Her training in different modalities includes Swedish, Myofascial Release, Sports, Active Release Techniques (ART), Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Release, Shiatsu, Craniosacral Therapy and Reflexology. Her education and physically active background formed her philosophy that by allowing the body to heal naturally under the therapeutic touch of a professional, can provide tremendous benefits—both physically and mentally. She is a Certified Level 2 Shiatsu practitioner as of August 2014. She is currently studying Acupuncture for her Doctorate in Oriental Medicine at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, CA.
